Tryouts exist to place players at appropriate levels to ensure
the best possible experience on the ice in hopes to see them the following
year. This year's U18 tryout was a tough one to judge due to the
number of players that were so evenly matched. It was obvious that every
player left everything they had on the ice and recognized that this year was
not a walk-on tryout as there were 28 players to choose from.
This year the U18 player’s performance was judged by three independent sources that are quite familiar with what it takes to make a player and form a successful team. Independent player assessment was given and the list of the successful players was developed based on this input.
The decisions were not made lightly and every one of the cuts was difficult for the coaching staff.

AP players have been identified, if they choose to accept they will be invited to practices on an alternating basis. Other AP players may be identified at a later date. Game attendance will be on request from the coaching staff.

Now that the U18 rep team is set we invite all local league players to their first practice Friday October 1st at 8pm. U18 LL will move into regular schedule following Friday. Any player that didn’t make the team and plan to play local league at another centre pls let us know.
