Rules & Regulations


  1. All OMHA Rules & Regulations will be followed for this Jamboree & Tournament.  This jamboree & tournament is sanctioned by OMHA.


  1. All teams, team officials, and parents/spectators are required to adhere to the OMHA Code of Conduct, WLMH Code of Conduct and the West Elgin Arena Code of Conduct


  1. Abusive behaviour (verbally, physically, or causing damage to any property) by any player, team official or spectator will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate ban from the facility for the remainder of the tournament at the discretion of the tournament committee.  Notification of the incident will also be made by the tournament committee to the home minor hockey association.  


  1. Registration fees for U9 LL and U9 MD are $550. Refunds will not be issued after October 11th, 2024.


  1. Registration fees for U11 LL and U11 B (Tier 3) are $1, 100.00.  Refunds will not be issued after October 11, 2024. 


  1. All teams must submit a copy of their sanctioned travel permit and their OMHA approved team roster through the Team Portal by Friday November 1, 2024.  Failure to do so may result in removal from the tournament. 


  1. Games will start on time, and run ahead of schedule.  Teams are required to be ready at least 15 minutes before scheduled game time. Failure to do so may result in a forfeit of the game.


  1. For U9 LL, two (2) pools of four (4) teams will be accepted. 


  1. For U9 MD, one (1) pool of four (4) teams will be accepted. 


  1. U11 LL and U11 B (Tier 3), one (1) pool of four (4) teams will be accepted.  


  1. U9 team registration will cover one (1) registration for a team of one (1) half of the ice.  If a registration wishes to submit enough players to play two (2) half ice games, two registrations will be required to be submitted.  For example, if a U9 team has 16 players, and they only register one U9 team, all 16 players will play as one team in the tournament, on one half of the ice.  If a team wishes to split, they will be required to register two teams, and can split the team into two (2) teams of 8 players each.  The official OMHA roster will need to be provided, as well as a list showing the separated teams. 


  1. U9 LL:  All games will be Half-Ice Format, and will play on Friday November 15th only.  Two-half ice modified games will run simultaneously. U9LL teams will be required to share the bench with the other team.  U9LL teams will have designated dressing rooms for the first two games.


  1. U9 MD:  All games will be Half-Ice Format, and will play on Saturday November 16th only.  Two-half ice modified games will run simultaneously. U9 MD teams will be required to share the bench with the other team.  U9 MD teams will have designated dressing rooms for the first two games.


  1. U9 LL & U9 MD:  games will be two periods of 18 minutes each (run time).  Flood will happen after two (2) games.


  1. U9 LL & U9 MD teams each play three (3) games and will be reseeded following round robin with the finals for matched “fun” final game.


  1. U11 LL & U11 B (Tier 3): Tournament format for U11 LL and U11 B (Tier 3) will be Round Robin and will be played on Friday November 15th and Saturday November 16th.  Each team will play each team once.  Teams will be re-seeded following Round Robin for semi-finals in a 2 vs 3 game.  Team in first place will advance to the finals to play the winner of the semi-finals.


  1. U11 LL & U11 B (Tier 3):  Games will be three (3) periods of 10 minutes each, run time.  If the score is less than 2 goals in the 3rd period, the game will be stop clock for the last 2 minutes of play.  Floods will occur after each game.  


  1. U11 LL & U11 B (Tier 3):  For U11 LL and U11 B (Tier 3), 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss.


  1. Tie Breakers for all divisions: 1)Most Points 2)Head to Head between tied teams 3) Most Wins 4) Most Goals Scored 5) Best Goal Differential (Goals Scored minus Goals Against)  If there is still a tie after all of the above have been exhausted, a coin toss will decide the winner to advance


  1. Electronic gamesheets will be used, and signed off by the ref and coaching staff of both teams.


  1. Game MVPs will be awarded by the opposing teams to the Head Coach to present to their player following the game.


  1. All players will receive a swag bag.
