Consistent with the Ontario Hockey Federation Team Officials Announcement Day, West Lorne Minor Hockey is pleased to announce the following representative coach selections for the 2025/2026 season:
U9 Minor Development
Carson Simpson is announced as returning in 2025/2026 as the Head Coach for U9 Minor Development.
Carson has many years of coaching experience, coaching with West Lorne Minor Hockey since 2021. Coach Carson’s coaching philosophy centers on three core principles: leadership, community, and being a good teammate. These elements are foundational to not only developing strong hockey players but also well-rounded individuals who can thrive both on and off the ice. Coach Carson also grew up in the minor hockey system and played Junior and Senior A hockey. Carson is excited to return with the U9 MD Comets for another season.
U11 Representative
Tyler Peck is announced as the 2025/2026 Head Coach for U11 Representative (B).
Coach Tyler has coached in various head and assistant coach roles since 2017. Coach Tyler’s coaching philosophy is team building with a focus on emphasizing player’s development, their skills, and adaptivity to communication and growth. Coach Tyler is also a volunteer firefighter in our community, servicing with the Dutton/Dunwich Fire Department. His service to his community through hockey and being a first responder has given him the skills to effectively manage teams on and off the ice. Welcome Coach Tyler!
U13 Representative
Rob Tait is announced as returning in 2025/2026 as the Head Coach for U13 Representative (B).
Coach Rob has over 25 years coaching experience U5 to U18 including Varsity Boys Hockey. His coaching philosophy centers around creating a supportive, growth-oriented environment where team bonding, personal development, and collective success intersect. By prioritizing these values, Coach’s Rob’s aim is to not only produce better athletes but to create better people who can thrive in all aspects of life. Coach Rob is excited to return with the U13 B Comets for another season!
U15 Representative
Jeff Galloway is announced as returning in 2025/2026 as the Head Coach for U15 Representative (B).
Coach Jeff has been in various bench staff positions since 2013. His coaching philosophy iis all about creating an environment for the players to learn new skills and build upon existing skills with goals and personal growth as an individual and teammate at the forefront. Coach Jeff believes by creating expectations and holding players accountable to the standard we create it helps them in other areas of their life not just hockey and having fun and being a great teammate. Coach Jeff is excited to return to the Comets as the U15 B Head Coach for the 2025/2026 season!
Applications for U11 B2 team and local league coaches for the 2025/2026 season will opened in Spring of 2025.
