Registration for the 2024-2025 Hockey Season

Courtesy of NHLPA® and Kraft Hockeyville 2023 Winners, West Lorne, (10) full sets of Hockey Equipment will be given away to WLMHA early bird registrants.  Each paid registration received prior to June 15th will receive a chance to enter a draw to win a full set of hockey equipment!   Equipment size selection will be offered.   Additional details will follow via email once registration has been received and paid.

General Fee Information

Initial Fees paid to register for WLMHA include your registration fee, volunteer deposit and fundraising deposit as well as a tryout fee for representative divisions [U11 - U18].  REP fees are added once teams selections take place in the fall. 


Registration Fees

 

Intro to Hockey (available for first time players): $400
U7: $400

U8 & U9: $725

U11 & U13: $775

U15 & U18: $800

U21: $600


Volunteer Deposit: $250

For U7 - U18 divisions, a $250 Volunteer deposit is reimbursable upon completion of eight (8) hours of volunteer time per player up to a maximum of (16) hours per family.   The Intro to Hockey program is not subject to the volunteer deposit fee.   


Fundraising Deposit:  $150

For U7 - U18 divisions, a $150 fundraising deposit is reimbursed upon the sale of raffle tickets by December 2024.  The Intro to Hockey program is not subject to the volunteer deposit fee. 


REP Tryout Fee

A fee of $50 will be charged at the time of registration for players trying out for a representative team [U11 - U18].  Please only select the REP division during registration if you are planning to tryout for the representative team.   Local League teams do not require tryouts.  


REP Team Fees:

Once REP teams are selected, a fee of $300 will be charged (with the exception of U18).  REP fees will be used to secure additional ice time for REP teams.  REP teams typically have an additional scheduled ice time each week, for a total of three (3) weekly home ice times.  AP Players are not charged any REP fees.  


Weekly Schedule:
All teams/age groups can expect up to two (2) home ice times per week, not including potential travel games. U7 teams are limited to 20 games per season by Hockey Canada, so this includes up to 10 travel games, depending on the team and the coach's discretion. 

Rep (D) Teams in U11 - U15 can expect up to three (3) home ice times per week. 

Ice times/times per week are all subject to change, depending on numbers of registrants and ice availability.

Payment Methods

WLMHA accepts E-Transfers, Cheque and all major credit cards.  Note: $2.00 convenience fee charged by Hockey Canada for credit card payments.

We encourage anyone to pay by e-transfer or cheque if possible.  WLMHA is charged processing fees for all credit card payments.  The less fees paid, the more funding will be available for our association to put towards our West Lorne Comets!

If you are paying by e-transfer, please submit your e-transfer to [email protected] and include your player's name and age group registered for. Your player is not considered registered and will not be able to participate until the e-transfer has been received.

Payment Plans, Discounts & Subsidies:

  • Payment Plans: Payment Plans are available!  A deposit of 50% of the total fee per player will be due at registration; the balance of the account will be divided evenly and billed to your credit card on August 1/22 and September 1/2022.  If payments are being made by e-transfer or cheque, e-transfer/post dated cheque are due same.  If registration occurs after one of these payment dates, the remainder of the balance will be divided up over the remaining dates.

  • First Year Registrants in U7 may qualify for a refund of a portion of the  registration fee as funded through Gooday Let's Play. Click here for more info.


How to Register for WLMHA 

Sportle ID  is the universal platform for all Hockey Canada participant registration.  All players must be registered using this system.  


The following requirements must be completed prior to any player participating in any WLMHA ice activity.  

  • Birth Certificate - To ensure each participant is in the correct program, OMHA requires proof of birthdate and birth country of each player. This information is considered private and will not be shared. You can upload a picture of a birth certificate or passport, or other government-issued ID containing proof of birthdate and birth country.

  • Proof of Residency - Proof of address is required to ensure each participant has been assigned to the correct hockey association. OMHA mandates boundaries of where players can register to play hockey. This information is considered private and will not be shared. To provide this, please upload a valid Driver’s License.  Alternatively, a Utility Bill such as a phone bill, hydro bill or Municipal Bill can be used.  The upload must show your name and address and be dated within the past 3 months.   If you have recently moved, a NEW Proof of Residency will be required.  

  • Respect in Sport Parent - (1) parent per family must have completed the online Respect in Sport Course 

  • For NEW participants, this must be completed before the beginning of the season.  

  • For those registering an additional participant, use the link above to add the existing certificate number to the additional players profile.  

  • For returning participants, this will already be included in the participant profile. 

  • If you have completed the Respect in Sport course for another sport, use the link above to import your existing certificate number to the player profile.
