Seeking U15 B Team Coach
Are you passionate about developing young athletes and
fostering a love for the game? West Lorne Minor Hockey is currently seeking a
dedicated and enthusiastic U15 B Coach for the upcoming season!
About the Position
The U15 B Coach plays a vital role in shaping the experience
of our players, helping them grow both on and off the ice. This is an exciting
opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and creating a positive
team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and
lead engaging, age-appropriate practices focused on skill development,
teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Manage all
aspects of team games, including strategy, player rotation, and in-game
decisions.
- Foster a
respectful, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all players.
- Collaborate
with assistant coaches, team managers, and club officials.
- Communicate
regularly with players and parents regarding schedules, expectations, and
feedback.
- Ensure
adherence to WLMH policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Prior
coaching experience at the youth level (preferably hockey) is an asset.
- Strong
leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment
to player development and team values over a "win-at-all-costs"
mindset.
- Must
complete necessary coaching certifications (or be willing to obtain them).
- A current
background check and respect-in-sport certification, as well as D1 certification will be required.
- Mentoring
will be provided.
