Registration for the 2022/2023 Hockey Season is Now OPEN!

In an effort to properly organize our teams for next season and to ensure your spot as a West Lorne Comet, please register before July 15th, 2022. 

Gate Fee Update: Beginning in the 2022-2023 season, OMHA has eliminated the option for leagues to charge gate fees.  In the past, these fees have predominantly paid for referees and timekeepers.  As a result, registration fees have increased this year to help cover this lost revenue. 

Registration Fees

Initial Fees paid to register for WLMHA are inclusive of your registration fee, volunteer deposit and fundraising deposit.  See below for more details.

*Volunteer Deposit - $150 per player for volunteering is reimbursed upon completion of the 8 hours per player (max. 16 per family).

**Fundraising Deposit - $150 fundraising deposit is collected up front and you keep the money when you sell your booklet of raffle tickets.

Payment Methods

WLMHA accepts E-Transfers, Cheque and all major credit cards.  Note: $2.00 convenience fee charged by Hockey Canada for credit card payments.

We encourage anyone to pay by e-transfer or cheque if possible.  WLMHA is charged processing fees for all credit card payments.  The less fees paid, the more funding will be available for our association to put towards our West Lorne Comets!

If you are paying by e-transfer, please submit your e-transfer to [email protected] and include your player's name and age group registered for. Your player is not considered registered and will not be able to participate until the e-transfer has been received.

Late Fees

After the deadline of July 15th, a $125 charge will automatically apply during the registration process with the exception of IP Teams [U5 & U7]


Rep Tryout Fees:

We are enthusiastic we will continue to offer rep programming dependent on interest.  A fee of $50 is required to cover ice time if your child will be trying out for a Rep team. 


Rep Team Fees:

Rep Team fees (up to $200) may apply after registration for players on rep teams (with the exception of U18).  Rep fees will be used to secure additional ice time for rep teams. 


Payment Plans, Discounts & Subsidies:

  • Payment Plans: Payment Plans are available!  A deposit of $325.00 per player will be due at registration; the balance of the account will be divided evenly and billed to your credit card on August 15/22 and September 15/2022.  If payments are being made by e-transfer or cheque, e-transfer/post dated cheque are due same.  If registration occurs after one of these payment dates, the remainder of the balance will be divided up over the remaining dates.    
  • Family Discount: $50 OFF on 3rd child’s registration fee and additional $50 for each child after
  • Subsidies:  If you require financial support in order for your player to participate this season, please visit our Subsidy Programs page.
  • First Year Registrants in Initiation Program hockey qualify for free registration as funded through Gooday Let's Play. Click here for more info.


New/Returning Players:

We will require a copy of your child's birth certificate. As well one parent must complete the online Respect in Sport Course prior to the beginning of the season (OMHA requirement for every hockey family in Ontario).
